Improvising in VR

Theatre Team Educators in VR

Explore the different ways VR can affect an improvised performance and how you can adjust to help you “yes, and” your way to a great show! Led by Mandy Canales, a theatre practitioner focused on comedic movement in XR, this workshop will be participatory and will include exercises and techniques for exploration for you to teach your students or your improv group.

The 2-day conference is free and open to the public with events on AltspaceVR, ENGAGE XR, Frame VR, and VRChat. For the full schedule for October 21-22, 2022, see the EDVR Theatre Team UniVirtual Experience.

The Educators in VR Theatre Team Project explores theatrical performance, design, and production in VR/XR through a series of workshops, seminars, and experiential development for educators, students, researchers, and those using performance techniques in education and therapy.

Educators in VR is dedicated to integrating VR, AR, and XR into education and business. We host over 800 VR free and paid events, classes, workshops, and conferences annually covering all aspects of education. Educators in VR was formed in 2018 when educators came together to solve their common challenges, and has grown to over 4,000 members from around the world, and over a dozen Team Projects (special interest groups).
