Theatre Team Educators in VR


Learn how to move and perform in VR, and how different actions and performance choices look to an audience. The event covers movement, body language, props, miming, voice, and more. Performing in VR has much in common with performing IRL (In-Real-Life), but there are a number of differences as well as some surprising VR-only capabilities.

Tony Lopez has been performing improv and experimenting with theatrical performance since 2008, and offers a wide range of improv and theatre training workshops.

  • Some activities might cause motion-sickness for some people.
  • VR headset users are able to participate more fully than those in 2D/desktop mode.

The Educators in VR Theatre Team Project explores theatrical performance, design, and production in VR/XR through a series of workshops, seminars, and experiential development for educators, students, researchers, and those using performance techniques in education and therapy.

Educators in VR is dedicated to integrating VR, AR, and XR into education and business. We host over 800 VR free and paid events, classes, workshops, and conferences annually covering all aspects of education. Educators in VR was formed in 2018 when educators came together to solve their common challenges, and has grown to over 4,000 members from around the world, and over a dozen Team Projects (special interest groups).
