The Metaverse vs Authorities

Monthly Meet-up in the AREA X

Personal authentication and digital signatures are only part of the steps that need to be considered when going to authorities online. There is even more to consider when the metaverse comes into play. Is it conceivable to visit authorities in the virtual world in the future? Eric Fischer is looking into this very issue in his work as project manager for digitization at the city of Ravensburg (Germany). In his X-TALK, he talks about current findings and urgently needed To Dos to be able to digitize public authorities.

Eric Fischer is a business information scientist (business engineer) and worked in programming for 3 years, after which he took over team planning and requirements analysis. Since October 1, 2021, he has been working for the city of Ravensburg as a process and project manager for digitization and is playing a key role in shaping the digitization of the administration.

On the second Thursday of the month, we invite you to an international meet-up at AREA X, our venue in Virtual Reality. In addition to a speaker who shares his experiences around new, immersive forms of storytelling with us, our meetings offer plenty of time and space for exchange around our campfire. X-NIGHT is a social VR event from the series IMMERSIVE X hosted by vm-people.
Partners: eXperimental Reality Lab & Karlshochschule.
