Cyberbullying: Reconciliation Funnels

Cyberbullying Team Project Educators in VR

Too often, users removed from events don't understand what they've done wrong, & have few resources to help them return back to the event and the community.

Reconciliation Funnels help those who bully & disrupt VR events and real life events as part of their rehabilitation process. They learn what they've done wrong and how to regain trust.

Ruth Diaz, Psy.D. Community Design Consultant, Leadership Coach, and Conflict Resiliency Trainer, is an expert in designing and developing reconciliation funnels and incorporating them into social VR platforms to ensure inclusion and diversity.

She is a social scientist, organizational consultant, and innovator on conflict resiliency in VR culture. She is the founder of VR Create|Connect, a growing network of VR enthusiasts who connect diverse contributors and creators to create transformative and inclusive events in social VR applications. Also known as rcdegs in multiple VR applications, Ruth is an environmental story teller, has built over 100 worlds, and is passionate about all technology mediums that help us become better versions of ourselves as humans individually and collectively.

This month is our 3rd Annual Cyberbullying Month series tackling critical issues including harassment, assault, interpersonal conflict, response and reporting, and understanding your rights and responsibilities.

Expect these sessions to touch upon sensitive areas. These are NOT therapy sessions but may serve as support, sharing, and resource access opportunities.

Educators in VR is dedicated to integrating VR, AR, and XR into education and business. We host over 600 VR free and paid events, classes, workshops, and conferences annually covering all aspects of education. Educators in VR started in AltspaceVR when educators came together to solve their common challenges, and has grown to over 2,500 members from around the world, and over a dozen Team Projects (special interest groups).
