Rob Theriault is the Immersive Technology Lead at Georgian College, President of the Canadian Chapter of the Immersive Learning Research Network, author, researcher, blogger, speaker, EdTech enthusiast & EV owner.
Georgian College a world leader in immersive virtual reality exploration & integration. VR is a part of their Architectural Technology, Indigenous Studies, Veterinary Technician, Paramedic, Nursing, Event Management, Tourism, Trades, & Power Engineering. Georgian takes faculty & students through the learning curve of VR adoption, including conducting research to examine the efficacy of VR as a learning medium. Research projects on Georgian’s radar include driver cognitive load using VR simulation, the efficacy of VR role play in a mental health crisis intervention and Paramedic assessment and decision making when lab simulation training is supplemented with VR training.
