VR/AR Global Summit Informal Meetup At Seinfeld's Apartment

PAST EVENT

Last year we met in a cool sci-fi hanger full of giant VR headsets. How could we top that? By geeking out in the apartment of the greatest sitcom of all time! What lessons from Seinfeld apply to VR and AR? On one hand, it's "a show about nothing." On the other, it "offers no growth or reconciliation to its characters. It eschews sentimentality." On the third hand, "it was the first modern sitcom. Paving the way for all the shows we have today Friends, Big Bang Theory, etc." And on the fourth, it coined some of the most popular catchphrases of the 90s: "Yada, yada, yada", "No soup for you!" & "Not that there's anything wrong with that." So, what was the secret in that sauce? Can we import it into VR/AR content, games, and experiences... or not? Might deep profound philosophical ideas embedded in Seinfeld and embodied by Jerry Seinfeld, George Costanza, Elaine Benes, and Cosmo Kramer be the key? Join us on the set to talk VR/AR shop and ponder the imponderable.
