Class 1 of 4
Gary van Warmerdam offers a free four week self mastery class. We will watch the videos and listen to the podcast together followed by questions and answers. As a mental health professional, I have been teaching classes about Happiness for over a decade. Gary presents the same concepts but in a completely different way. Every time I listen to one of his podcasts, I feel like I'm in Happiness Church (thus the name). Gary learned directly from Don Miguel Ruiz, author of The Four Agreements. It is highly recommended that you go to Gary's website www.pathwaytohappiness.com and sign up for the self-mastery class and follow along with us, but this is NOT a requirement nor a prerequisite.
It is hoped that this will be the first in a series of Happiness classes. Other classes we hope to take together are Berkeley’s The Science of Happiness, Yale’s The Science of Well-Being and the United Kingdom’s Action For Happiness class, Exploring What Matters and my own Happiness 101 course.
I, Frank Clayton, am a fully licensed mental health counselor in the state of Utah (United States). I have published over a dozen articles with he local news agency, spoken at such prestigious institutions such as the University of Utah, Brigham Young University, Snow College and The Leonardo Museum. I am the founder and owner of Salt Lake Mental Health, Incorporated. Most importantly I have been helping to restore optimism, reduced depression, increased self-esteem and cultivated optimism through my class, Happiness 101. This is my greatest accomplishment because it goes directly against the local epidemic of suicide. It has been scientifically proven that when one person becomes happier, it spreads like a virus; potentially “infecting” up to 1,000 people – starting with our friends and loved ones. I view being happy as not only good for us, it is a public service. Join us in helping the world become a better place.
Special thanks to The Toweler from VRChurch.org who kindly gave his permission to use this beautiful world that he created. I think Gary would approve. :)
