Students from RCAD Virtual Reality Development and Game art and Design majors share their industry collaborative journeys in projects such as “Glitch Out VR” and “Moffitt VR: A Treatment Simulation."
PRESENTATION: Glitch Out VR: The Making Of a Game
We will be discussing the development and preproduction process all the way to the polish state of our game. As well as guidelines for collaborating with other departments.

I am a rising senior at Ringling College of Art and Design, Class of 2020. Throughout my time at Ringling I studied in Game Art and Design to achieve my goal of become a 3D modeller/environment artist.
PRESENTER: Jarod Frank
I am a graduating senior member of Ringling College of Art and Design in Game Art, class of 2020. During my time studying at Ringling, I focused on learning 3D modelling, material work, visual effects creation and game design. I hope to pursue a career in game art, preferably as a visual effects artist.
PRESENTATION: Moffitt VR: A Treatment Simulation
A collaboration between the Ringling College of Art and Design's VR Department and Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa, Florida. RCAD Virtual Reality Development students worked in collaboration with Moffitt Cancer Center to create a VR training simulation to educate patients with pancreatic cancer on what radiation therapy is and to show them what it is like to receive treatment in an MRI Linac machine. Featured student team-members: Timber Robert, Quinn Kuslich, Joseph Jansse, Xavier Rodriguez, Ruoling Xu and Megan Dudley.

Timber, Ruoling and Megan represent RCAD’s first Virtual Reality Development major cohort group. The VRD students share a passion for developing and creating interesting and meaningful art that shines through their work in RCAD’s VR Department
MENTOR: Paola Paullino
Paola Paulino is a far future innovator turned XR visionary for international education. She started her immersive technology career at Microsoft Studios. Paola is part of the first group of people to pioneer experiential design and hardware development for Mixed Reality. She founded #isnsVR, one of the first high-end VR/AR Immersive Technology Pilot programs for international K-12 education in Asia.
Following the success of this program, Paulino founded the Global VR/AR Association - Shenzhen, she was selected to be the first Ambassador for #VRwomen Asia and founded XR Pioneer Ltd., a Hong Kong/Shenzhen based educational technology solutions company built to serve cutting edge and meaningful tech integration experiences in education.
