2020 Educators in VR International Summit brings together educators, learners, researchers, and experts in VR, AR, and XR to share their passion for integrating immersive technology in education.

The VR/AR Association (VRARA) is an international organization designed to foster collaboration between innovative companies and people in the VR and AR ecosystem that accelerates growth, fosters research and education, helps develop industry standards, connects member organizations and promotes the services of member companies. There are over 70 VRARA chapters around the world that meet regularly in person and online. Their annual VR/AR Global Summit brings together professionals, experts, developers, enterprise, and business leaders from the global virtual reality and augmented reality industry. They are planning a European version of their conference.

Julie Smithson is the Co-Founder of XR Ignite, a Community Hub & Virtual Accelerator for XR Startups that connects startups, studios and developers with corporate clients. Julie is also Co-Founder of MetaVRse, one of the world’s leading XR Consulting and product development companies community hub and hyper-accelerator.
Carlos Ochoa, co-Chair of the Education Committee
Carolos Jochoa is an engineer and entrepreneur with over 30 years of International experience in the Innovation and New Advance Digital Technologies Industry. He is President of VR/AR Association Madrid Chapter and co-chair of the Education Committee, and Immersive Learning Founding Member, ICICLE X-Reality for Learning and Performance Augmentation SIG.
Olivia Wenzel, Student co-Chair of the Student Committee
Olivia is the Founder and CEO of AltruTec, LLC ("Altruistic Technology"), a Visiting Researcher at the Cleveland Clinic Center for Brain Health, and a senior at Laurel School in the Cleveland, Ohio area. She is developing a virtual reality application to improve the quality of life of people with dementia. To aid in her application development, as a Visiting Researcher, she is conducting a study focused on the missed experiences of people with Mild Cognitive Impairment and Alzheimer's Disease. In October 2019, she spoke about her business and research at the Cleveland Clinic Medical Innovation Summit.
