Alan Chao presents a workshop on User Behavior and User Experience based upon his observations of user behavior in virtual worlds from a year of world building in AltspaceVR. His insights have led him to design some of the most user-friendly virtual worlds, pushing boundaries into Unity design, development, and interactivity. He will share his thoughts on the process and lessons learned in this engaging presentation.

Alan is an interaction designer who bridges the gap between humans and emerging technology to create value for digital products. He is the host of the XR Industry Meetup in AltspaceVR, bringing together experts and enthusiasts with the UX and XR industry. He is also the designer and builder of many of the most popular social and event spaces in AltspaceVR.

Educators in VR Weekly Workshops presents workshops and special events to help educators, learners, researchers, and enthusiasts with a desire to integrate VR, AR, XR, and MR into the classroom and education.

Educators in VR offers weekly workshops on VR/AR/XR basics, immersive classrooms, vlanguage learning, diversity and access, vcoaching and personal development, how to teach and present in VR, and other programs to help you include VR in the classroom as an educational tool, homework, or creating an educational VR lab in your school.

AltspaceVR is a free and open social VR platform, an excellent virtual space for hosting educational events and creating immersive classroom experiences. This workshop will introduce you to the basics of setting up an event and considerations AltspaceVR for education, including public, private, and paid.
